Laid-back Elegance

This client really wanted to cozy-up her family room, create privacy in the master bath, and brighten up her master bedroom. Having lived all over the world, she and her family were ready to make this home-base feel like home.
In the family room, we built a wall with a pair of oversized French doors leading in. This allowed us to re-orient the room and create different cozy areas for TV watching and reading. Rich tones pulled from the client’s art gave the room a sense of history and the mix of texture and pattern kept things family friendly and fun.
The bathroom also needed a wall. Originally it was simply open to the bedroom which was inconvenient when our clients were on differing schedules. So, we built a wall with a pocket door – allowing easy access generally, but privacy when needed. Then we re-faced the entire room with tile, countertops, and paint. Finally, replacing the old bulky built-tub with a chic stand-alone created the relaxing respite our client craved.
